Great Job at the Meet!

I want to congratulate all of our swimmers on doing a fantastic job at the swim meet!

I also want to thank all of our parent volunteers again! I had no idea how much we were going to have to rely on you at the meet and you guys were great.

Jill and I are very impressed with how much your kids have accomplished in just two weeks!

Please let me know if you have not recieved your team suit yet (if you ordered it) or if you have not recieved your team shirt (everybody gets one).

Practice Time Change

As many of you know we have decided to adjust the start time of the second waves practice.

It will still run 45 minutes long but it will begin at 10:30 and end at 11:15

Some of you may have noticed that we have run the second practice a little long the last few times. If you have any conflicts with this feel free to get your kids out of the pool whenever you need to. Coach Jill and I would like to take advantage of any extra pool time we get so if the kids are doing alright we will continue to let practice run a little later.

Meet Volunteers

Our first meet on Saturday June 27th is going to come up quick once summer really gets rolling.

I want to get a head start on recruiting volunteers for the meet. So if you could please check your schedules and let me know if you are available and/or interested in volunteering it would be greatly appreciated! Any time over the next few weeks will be great, and yes, if you decide last minute we will still take the help.

We will need help setting up (coming in at about 11-11:30) prior to the start of the meet and then we will need timers (5) minimum and scorekeepers (2) and any help we can get cleaning up! (The best part!)

Latest News-

It was great to meet so many of you this Saturday, I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine!

If you were unable to make it to the swim fit and still want to get the team suit, goggles, hooded sweatshirt, cap etc. send me an email and we can try to arrange a time to meet and get fitted.

Also, our next and last ‘event’ before the season officially starts on June 15th is our second spring practice JUNE 6th 10:00am-11:00am.

We had a great group on the 16th and you are all invited to come again to the second practice in June! I know it is a little crowded, but the extra time in the pool will help us get off to a fast start come June 15th. It is also a good chance for the kids to get to meet eachother.

I added another file to the ‘box’ for download. So look for the ‘Waves Roster’ word file at the right which contains information about what time your child(ren) will practice during the season.

I will be posting files on the blog for download in the ‘box‘ on the right hand side of the screen.

Currently the Swim Fit forms are posted (we provide them at the event but you can check out the pricing in advance). Also the Waves registration form is on there which has useful info, and so is the 2009 Meet Schedule.

As new items become available (such as the meet order of events, directions for away meets etc.) I will post them form you.

Feel free to post questions on the blog… or you can email me the old fashioned way.

The idea behind the blog is to collect all of the important info in one place so that you don’t have to go searching back through old emails etc to find what you need. It is also possible to post pictures from the swim meets and events or practices for you guys to share.

8:30am – 12:30pm

Come to the first Spring Practice if you can (also Saturday May 16th!)

10:00am – 11:00am

• Plan to spend 30 minutes at the Swim Fit in case it is busy when you come
• Also bring a suit and goggles of some kind for the Practice

For those of you who do not know there will be one more Spring Practice on June 6th (Sorry if this is becoming redundant for some of you!)
